Report: No OZZY OSBOURNE Live Performances For A Year Following Accident
December 11, 2003Ozzy Osbourne may not get back on stage for a year after suffering a broken neck vertebra and other injuries in an all-terrain vehicle accident Monday (Dec. 8),according to the Mirror.
A hospital source said: "Broken ribs make it painful to breathe let alone sing and the tube will have put pressure on his voice box."
Meanwhile, at last night's British Comedy Awards, fellow rocker Alice Cooper, standing in for Ozzy for one presentation, said: "I have just sent him a whole carton of coloring books.
"He's going to be in bed for a while, he'll get so bored just lying there, now he can just play and color-in."
In other news, Ozzy's hospital is at the centre of a scare over the killer MRSA bug, according to the Mirror.
A clampdown is in place to stop it spreading through intensive care units.
All but essential staff have been banned from going into the area where Ozzy is recovering from his injuries.
A source at Wexham Park said: "There are serious problems with MRSA." A hospital spokeswoman said: "I think MRSA is pretty usual in a lot of hospitals these days."
